Staff Pick #1

NEW WEBSITE: FULL POST HERE!

First off… I wanna lead with my EXCITING NEWS that my PFTs were 81% today!!!!! (That’s higher than they’ve been in years!!!!)

Anyways, back to the real point of this post… While I’m in the hospital I just wanted to write about some of the amazing staff that takes such good care of me while I’m here. They can seriously make or break a stay. With being here for a couple of weeks at a time, it is very important to have a good staff. Luckily, many of the nurses on my floor are about the same age as me. I have befriended several of them (even though half of them have left me!). It’s always nice knowing that I’m gonna get to see a friendly face when I get admitted. Continue reading “Staff Pick #1”

Exciting Week!!!

NEW WEBSITE: FULL POST HERE!

Alrighty, so this has been an incredibly eventful week! First was the CF Walk that was amazing and super fun. Then that night I got sick and wound up in the hospital on Wednesday. Then I found out that I am getting a new car when I get out of here. So even though it sucks being stuck in the hospital and being sick, it’s actually been an incredibly eventful week! While there were a few that had extenuating circumstances that kept them from coming to the actual walk, it was really encouraging to see just how much support my friends and family have for me. EXERCISE!!!

NEW WEBSITE: FULL POST HERE!

Hi Friends!

Sorry it’s been so long since I’ve written a post (I can’t believe it’s already been a month!). School and life has been kicking my butt lately, but I am happy to say that I am managing everything extremely well. I just wanted to talk a little bit about exercise and maintaining a healthy regimen. I was always an active child; I participate in various sports and recreational activities all throughout grade school. It always felt so good to stay active. I had always been in love with playing music and picked up saxophone in the 5th grade. Once I got to high school I got to participate in marching band, which was always a blast and kept me active without even thinking about it. Once I got to college, however, there was no more marching band. Continue reading “EXERCISE!!!”
